Do you have a junk pile that you would like removed?

Reclaim that space in your yard, house, garage, or shed

Did I mention that I worked as an ARBORIST for 18 years

I specialize in Fruit and Ornamental Tree Pruning, Shaping, Height Reduction, Drop Crotch Pruning, Safety Trimming, Aesthetics, Elevating, Thinning, Dead Wooding Crown Cleaning and Hedge Trimming. I Don’t work for a big Tree Company anymore, but that doesn’t mean I forgot any of my Arborist Training, and can provide that service at a fraction of the price a big Tree Company would charge. DON’T LET JUST ANYONE PRUNE YOUR TREES, YOUR TREES ARE MY CANVASS. I take PRIDE in my work and It shows. There is a BIG difference between someone who is only doing this for a paycheck and someone who REALLY CARES ABOUT YOUR TREES.

Who ever was trimming these trees prior to me topped them with a chainsaw, it took me a few cycles to make this tree BEAUTIFUL again

Let me help you keep your trees small, safe and under control.

  • Done with no damage
  • This side of the tree will be trimmed away from the other tree

  • Done and with no damage
  • Same tree but the homeowner wanted it trimmed far away from the house, it was hanging about 15′ to 20′ over the house
  • Done, the limbs were starting to damager the shingles and there is a patio underneath and furniture, all done with no damage
  • Underneath shot showing how far the tree was growing over the house
  • Now you can see blue skies. There was a large limb that broke off earlier in the year so the homeowner wanted this tree safety trimmed before any more large limbs broke
  • As you can see there is plenty of distance between the tree and the house
  • This large limb was growing over the house and a small shed
  • It is now off the house and the homeowner doesn’t have to worry about damage to his house or shed anymore
  • you can see the shed and how far it was over the house better in this picture, it was a very large limb and I had very limited space to cut it in
  • Limb is gone and the shed and house are still standing, NO DAMAGE, not bad for 1 man all alone
  • The pictures really don’t show how big the limb really was but as you can see there was no damage to the structures underneath
  • This is a large chainsaw and you can see this limb makes the chainsaw look small
  • another view
  • Done
  • There was not a lot of room to cut this tree in but I was still able to get it down with no damage and all alone
  • This is the rear view of the tree the homeowner wanted this safety trimmed back to the fence line
  • Done
  • You can see the whole back side of this tree needs to come off
  • Done
  • This tree is in his front yard and was the first tree you see when pulling up to the house, he wanted it shaped nicely
  • After
  • Before
  • After
  • I have been working on this tree for a few weeks now on Saturdays. the homeowner wanted it removed and was quoted around $10,000 from a few tree companies to remove it
  • This tree was very large and was spread across 2 yards
  • We agreed I would cut the tree as low as I could, You would need a 6′ chainsaw to cut that base and my chainsaw is only 24″. This is also a Cut N Leave meaning they only pay for my labor and they clean it up so the price was very very low when all was done
  • before
  • there are pictures of this tree in previous slide shows showing how far the tree was over the fence and also there was a large broken branch in the tree that made it very dangerous but I was still able to cut it down with no damage and all by myself. This is definitely the biggest tree I have ever done alone
  • Before
  • After
  • There was no damage to the fence or patio
  • This tree had a few large broken limbs hanging down and I also suggested we get some weight off the ends of the long horizontal limbs going over the house and patio
  • Done and with no damage
  • Showing a little better the work that needed to be done
  • The broken limbs were very large
  • From this angle you can see the limb is growing over the house and patio
  • Now the weight has been reduced and the tree is safe
  • These 2 shrubs were getting too big for where they were planted, the homeowners told me they had a hard time pulling up their driveway
  • Done and I also cut them as low to the ground as I could so they could bury the stumps
  • before

  • Needs hedge trimming
  • Done
  • Needs Hedge Trimming
  • Done
  • Needs Hedge Trimming
  • Done
  • This is the first time I hedge trimmed a large Blue Spruce but the homeowners wanted it turned into a ball shape and I also trimmed the large hedge next to it
  • Done, and it came out great
  • They wanted their path back between the tree and shrub
  • Done
  • They are done and they look great
  • Work Performed between 6-27-22 – 7-8-22
  • These trees suffered wind damage and instead of removing them the homeowner decided to keep them and shape them. it will take a few years but they will look great when we are done
  • I elevated the bottom of the trees and shaped them as good as I could
  • Rear view of the trees that were broken before elevating the bottom and shaping
  • After elevating and shaping
  • The homeowners wanted me to reduce the size of this tree by about 10 feet. I shaped the tree to the right about 6 months ago and it looks great
  • After removing about 10 feet from the top of the tree
  • Before reduction and shaping of the tree
  • After reduction and shaping
  • These trees were very large and on the fence line between 2 houses. the homeowner wanted them trimmed away from both houses and safety trimmed over the children’s play area
  • This is what was left, the trees were about 15 feet over the house
  • These trees were growing all the way down the fence line
  • Every tree was trimmed back
  • This is the homeowner’s side of the trees, they wanted them trimmed back after a large limb broke and almost hit their house. They wanted the Cedar Tree removed also
  • The trees were trimmed back all the way down the fence line
  • As you can see the trees were growing over the back patio and getting close to the house. When the horizontal limbs start to grow long they should be safety trimmed to avoid any future damage or injury
  • I trimmed these trees back pretty far, they are now safe and still provide shade in the back yard
  • This tree was removed. if you look in the back ground you will see the Children’s play area the trees were growing over
  • This is the play area the back trees were growing over and you can see the fence, There was no damage on this jobsite
  • These trees were about 15 feet over the neighbors house
  • They are all the way off the house now
  • This was the small space I had to cut all those big limbs in, as you can see there was no damage
  • This was a big job for one man but I still was able to complete it with no damage
  • These trees needed to be elevated and thinned out, and the shrubs needed to be trimmed as well
  • After
  • This tree needed to be thinned out and dead wooded

  • The homeowner wanted this large sycamore reduced and trimmed away from the house, she lost some large limbs and was scared of the tree getting too big
  • I was able to reduce the tree about 1/3
  • Before reduction
  • After
  • The limbs were almost touching the house which could cause damage in the future
  • There is now about 10 feet of clearance from the house
  • I just want to show how I am able to reduce and still maintain a natural shape from every angle. I am one of the best at shaping trees in Utah
  • The shape is beautiful
  • This is a view from the back, I drove around the block to show the tree is shaped perfectly from every angle
  • 6-13-22 – 6-24-22, Large Removals over houses and fences, property enhancements, and shrubs
  • Removal
  • This Cherry was very overgrown, the homeowner wanted it reduced and thinned as well as off the house and neighbors yard
  • This Tree came out perfect
  • Before
  • After
  • This lower growth was because this was an ornamental weeping cherry that was buried too deep, the graft was buried and therefore it sprouted to a full grown cherry. We liked the weeping part so we left it.
  • Now it looks like a cherry tree with a skirt on LOL
  • Homeowner wanted this tree reduced about 10 feet
  • Done
  • This was a large cut and leave, this clump of trees were over both houses and rubbing the roof, the homeowner wanted the clump removed between the houses and got a great price because they chose to clean it up themselves. this is called CUT AND LEAVE
  • Half way done
  • Done with no damage to either house
  • Front view showing the tree growing over both houses
  • Large limbs growing over both houses
  • This was a large clump of garbage trees
  • Done
  • These needed to be dead wooded and a new central leader established
  • Done
  • These Spiral Bushes were very overgrown and needed some love
  • I did my best, there were some spots that are off because the shrubs were so overgrown, I had to make new spirals on the tops
  • Large shrub the homeowner wanted below the lights and off the sidewalk
  • Done
  • Before
  • Off the sidewalk
  • Done
  • Large shrub needed to be reduced and shaped

  • Done
  • The limbs that were growing over the house were quite large

  • After
  • This was the only place I had to drop the limbs, as you can see, I was able to drop the all in this little space without damaging the house
  • Dead Removal and shrub shaped next to it
  • Done
  • These small trees needed to be removed as well as the vine growing up the fence
  • Done
  • All to be removed
  • Done, and the weeds were pulled that were on the fence line
  • Home owner wanted the cherry tree topped
  • Done
  • The Home owner wanted this large flowering pear topped
  • Done, the shape came out perfect
  • Side view of flowering pear Before
  • After, The shape was perfect and it is now out of the cable wires
  • The homeowner wanted this large shrub trimmed back far enough to open the garage door and down to the top of the door, and the tree trimmed off of the house
  • Done, I told her there would not be much left but she said to do it anyway
  • large tree trimmed off the house
  • This was a very dangerous tree I have been working on , the large limb split in a wind storm and was laying on a lower limb that was over 2 yards and fences
  • side view to show how large the limb was, I cannot lie, I was Scared to remove this one, any wrong move and the limb could roll and crush me
  • Done, and no damage to the fence or any property
  • Another view of the limb
  • Done
  • I was roping down huge logs, I may be 1 man but I can do very large trees
  • This log was bigger than me
  • Its now on the ground and I put my big chainsaw on it to show how big it is
  • This was one big log
  • as you can see there is no damage to the fence, I didn’t even hurt 1 piece of wood
  • This was a large tree that should of cost the homeowner $8,000 – $10,000 from a large tree company and I’m doing it for a fraction of the price
  • This tree spanned across 3 yards and is easily the biggest tree in the neighborhood

  • Work for the Week of 6-6-22 – 6-10-22 A couple of big limbs removed over houses, some hedge trimming, a few big trees trimmed and a fence line trim
  • Hedge trimming both shrubs and trimmed off of shed
  • Done
  • I started to trim before I took the picture, The shrub was grown into the shed
  • Done
  • The homeowner wanted the dead removed from this river birch
  • Done
  • another angle
  • Done
  • Big dead limb needs to be removed and the shrubs trimmed
  • Done
  • Shrub and rose bush hedge trimmed
  • Done
  • The homeowner wanted this Conifer fence lined. Legally you can cut your neighbors tree back to your fence line if its hanging in your property
  • Done
  • Another Angle
  • Done
  • The homeowner wanted the shrub on the left reduced down below the rain gutter
  • Done
  • This yard is done
  • This large walnut tree is growing over the house and has been rubbing the roof, the homeowner is getting a new roof put on and needs the house cleared before the roofers can work. The limb was too close to just trim it back so he decided to remove the whole limb
  • The limb has been removed and now there is plenty of space between the house and the tree, the bottom needs to be elevated as well and hasn’t been done yet
  • Different angle
  • The big limb has been removed and the bottom elevated and cleaned out. Now his son can mow the lawn without ducking low limbs under the tree
  • Plenty of space between the tree and the house. The black mark on the side is where one of the limbs were rubbing.
  • This large Lindon is going to get a crown clean (Thin, Dead wood) and trimmed away from the building and wires as well as elevate the low limbs so you can walk under them without ducking
  • As you can see the limbs were over the wires as well as on the house. The power company won’t trim limbs going over the service line, they only make sure no limbs are touching it
  • Limbs are off the structure and away from the lines as well
  • Another angle showing how far the limb were over the power line and close to the garage
  • Plenty of distance away from the garage and power line. and I was still able to maintain a good shape so the tree doesn’t look out of balance
  • The limbs were touching the garage, this corner was pretty full. Its best to get 5-10 feet of clearance over your roof so the tree don’t ruin your shingles
  • That’s better
  • Lower limbs need to be elevated so your not ducking while mowing the lawn
  • Done and its even all the way around
  • The tree is done
  • These dead stubs need to go, the furthest one was growing over the neighbors tent as well
  • Done, I moved the rocks so I could get them cut as low as possible, you would never know there were 2 dead trees there
  • another angle
  • Done
  • Done
  • The homeowner wanted some weight taken off those long limbs that were growing over her cars. When you cut a limb from the tip back you are reducing weight and it strengthens the limb as well, she will never have to worry about her trees breaking and damaging her car
  • Done, and you can’t even tell the limbs were reduced. that’s the way it should be.
  • These limbs were growing into her house and over her house, she wanted them trimmed away from the house
  • Done, I got plenty of clearance for her
  • This big limb was growing over her house
  • Done, limb has been reduced and you cannot even tell its been cut
  • all these limbs were too close as well
  • Done
  • Too close
  • Done
  • Plenty of clearance and the trees still have a natural look to them
  • I elevated all the trees in the front yard as well, if you look you will see they are all elevated to the same height. you could put a ruler under them its a perfect line
  • This tree needs to be trimmed back for the satellite dish and it was close the the neighbors house
  • Done, the homeowner is getting great reception and the neighbors house is clear as well
  • These are all the limbs Im going to cut back
  • As you can see there is plenty of clearance now
  • The homeowner wanted this huge limb taken about half way back so she could get more sun into her yard.
  • Done. this was a very large horizontal limb and it was very dangerous as well, she needed to get that one taken care of
  • Showing the limb from a different angle and where I cut it back to
  • The big limb from the outside view
  • An even further outside view
  • Now the limb is gone and I made some cuts in the limb next to the one I took out to help her get more sun and it was growing over her patio and house it was very dangerous as well
  • The limb growing over the patio and house needed to be trimmed back as well
  • Now it is open for sunlight
  • This is a big saw with a 24″ bar. I just wanted to show how big the limb really was
  • I was able to get those limbs out without smashing her shrub or any of her plants, only a professional could take out such a big limb over the shrubs, plants, patio, and house without any causing any damage and all alone as well
  • This weeping cherry died because It was not getting any sun. This is the reason she had me trim for sun exposure and remove the dead cherry. She is going to plant something else there at a later date
  • This yard is done, the shrub is still standing as well as the plants, patio and house. The homeowner was very happy, you can read her comment on KSL.com, click the link on top of the page

  • This is another angle of the limb the racoons were using to get on her house
  • That is the finished cut of the limb going over her house
  • This large limb was growing in between and over 2 houses. This one took a little skill to get down in such a tight space without damaging anything
  • Done, I circled the finish cut. The houses are clear and the driveway is much safer now
  • Another angle of the large limb growing over the driveway and houses
  • Gone
  • Another angle from underneath showing the limb going over both houses and the driveway, there really wasn’t much room to work with
  • The limb is gone and there was no damage whatsoever. I LOVE MY JOB
  • Work for the week of 5-31-22 – 6-3-22 . I lost some of my pictures so these are just a few I was able to find. This week I put in rain gutter screens, Mulched more flower beds, trimmed a orchard of various fruit trees, cleared some trees away from houses and solar panels
  • These rain gutters were full to the top with old leaves, they were decomposing on the bottom and there were some weeds growing out of the rain gutter
  • after scraping out all the dirt and leaves
  • the rain gutters are clean and protective screens have been installed
  • The whole side needed the trees trimmed off the house and gutters cleaned
  • Rain gutter screens before installation
  • almost done
  • Done

  • This tree was too close to the solar panels and were over them in some spots
  • Now we have 10 to 12 feet of distance from the solar panels
  • other side showing the tree too close to the solar panels
  • Done
  • I was able to get plenty of distance away from the solar panels while keeping a natural look with the tree
  • This pine tree is getting trimmed back to the fence line about 20 feet up
  • done
  • Orchard of fruit trees the homeowner wanted thinned for sun
  • done
  • This apple and apricot tree were drop crotch pruned and reduced for sun
  • Black cherry aphids suck sap from the phloem vessels and reduce tree vigor. They overwinter as black eggs on cherry trees, and hatch in spring. The backyard orchardist can usually ignore aphid infestations unless the populations are extremely high, growth of young trees is being stunted, or black sooty mold is staining the fruit.
  • The lady bug is having a feast

  • These pines were in the Neighbors yard and overgrown into the homeowners yard dropping needles and shading their garden area, By law you can remove any limbs hanging in your yard to the fence line so that’s what they wanted done
  • After fence line Trimming, they only wanted them trimmed 30 feet up so the tops are barely hanging over but a major improvement on dropping pine needles and sunlight, also the Silver maple can now fill in the space that the pines were taking up
  • Lower growth of pines growing over the garden area
  • after, showing the trees were trimmed to the fenceline
  • 5/2 – 5/6/22 Safety trimming of large elms and Demolition of building with cleanup. The customer wanted to park a RV next to this tree but the limbs were hanging too low and the higher limbs were very long and dangerous.
  • Large Elm after Safety trim. All the lower limbs were removed and the higher limbs that were really long were shortened to reduce weight. He can now park his RV next to the tree and not worry about a limb falling and damaging his new investment.
  • This is the other side of the Elm. Now you can see how long the higher limbs were horizontally which made them very dangerous to park anything underneath them.
  • Problem solved. The lower limbs were removed and the higher limbs were reduced from the tip back.
  • Here is a closer view of the lower limbs. They were hanging so low you had to duck to walk underneath them, there was no way to park anything under them without them rubbing and causing damage
  • The lower limbs have been removed
  • This apricot had a lot of dead, I was instructed to remove the dead wood only.
  • Apricot after removing the dead
  • Another angle of the Apricot tree before the dead was removed
  • This is wat was left after removal of the dead limbs
  • Apricot before removal of dead limbs
  • Apricot after removal of dead limbs
  • This was another large elm on the property with a very big dead limb that was drooping all the way to the ground
  • Close up of the dead limb after removal to show how big it was
  • There is the proper collar cut after removal of large dead limb, that was the only limb they wanted removed from this tree
  • This was a fairly larger building they wanted demolished and removed
  • Here is the spot the building once sat. I did the demolition all by hand. My tools were a pick ax, prybars, sawzall, sledge hammer, and a framing hammer. It was a lot of work
  • The back of the building was steel paneling, large logs and solid steel doors on the sides
  • Here is the inside of the steel part of the building. it needed to be torn down.
  • Here is the top of the building. I lost count of all the tires
  • The neighbor told me this building was used to slaughter pigs.
  • The building was falling apart everywhere, it was very hazardous to be in
  • Here is the front of the building.
  • These were the solid steel doors that were the walls on the end building
  • Cutting up the metal took a while and those large logs were pretty heavy too
  • It is done
  • This job was one of my biggest yet

  • This is showing the over grown grass and piles of debris left in front yard
  • Pile of Debris that was left in the front yard
  • This is after I mowed the lawn but I haven’t Trimmed the Tree, or fixed the fence yet
  • The Tree has now been thinned out and dead wooded and the fence has been fixed
  • This is a close up of the tree before I Elevated, Thinned and Dead wooded it
  • Here is the same tree after I Elevated, Thinned and Dead wooded it. I also reduced some weight off of some of the limbs going toward the house and the neighbors house for SAFETY
  • This was in the back yard, there was a bunch of Garbage, a old washing machine and a big pile of branches, plus the lawn needs to be mown
  • The garbage is now GONE and the lawn has been mown as well, The branches were on the lawn for so long the lawn underneath was dying
  • Here is a close up of the branch pile that was killing the lawn
  • The Yard is Looking much better with all that Garbage and Debris out of there.
  • This was another section of the back yard that was over grown and limbs and debris everywhere
  • I cleaned up the fallen limbs and Elevated the tree and shrubs so you can now walk around the whole yard
  • This was some more debris that was down and the grape vine was starting to take it over
  • as you can see the fence is gone and the path is now clear to walk around freely
  • This big limb was down right next to the fence and you can see how over grown the grass was
  • Close up of the fence gone and the big limb cleaned up
  • this is the other side of the large shrub and apricot tree that was grown together, It was a JUNGLE in there
  • now you can walk freely around the trees and don’t have to duck or fight to get through
  • Here is the front view of the same shrub and apricot that was very overgrown, it was really thick and I had to take a lot of it out to tame it
  • Now you can see the shrub and the apricot tree separate. I myself was surprised it came out this clean
  • This is the other side of the Apricot tree and you can see more limbs were down and how overgrown that corner of the yard was from all angles now
  • corner, The Customer was VERY HAPPY with the results and low cost of this PROPERTY ENHANCEMENT
  • The big shrub, Apricot and downed fence were all behind that section of the yard through the gate

  • 3-8-22 Apricot Trimmed for Fruit Production
  • Done My Best with the Apricot Tree, Who Ever Pruned these Trees left me and the homeowner with a mess that will take a few trimmings to try to FIX
  • Don’t Let your Fruit Trees Get too Big and Out of Control, It really limits your options and your fruit
  • Most of the Fruiting wood has been removed and you will need a Ladder to Harvest your Fruit
  • I have Done My Best with What was left of the Tree,
  • 3-3-22 Apricot Trim for Fruit
  • Dont Let your Fruit Trees get much Bigger than This If you Harvest your own Fruit
  • I Have Lost the Before Picture of this Apple but It was Neglected for a few years like the Others
  • 3-21-22 Broken Limb due to Horizontal Growth and Weight from the snow
  • Break Point is where limb starts to grow Horizontally
  • The tips of the branches won’t cause much damage
  • The butt of the limb is where the weight is at and most likely where the damage will occur
  • It doesn’t take a huge limb to put a hole in your roof. What if there were a sky light or solar panels under that limb?
  • There are 2 Horizontal limbs remaining that will need to be SAFETY TRIMMED
  • I’m going to reduce the weight of this limb by removing some of the ends while still maintaining shape
  • This is the #2 Horizontal limb which needs to be SAFETY TRIMMED, so I bring it back to an Vertical Lateral
  • #2 Horizontal Limb after SAFERY TRIM
  • #1 Horizontal Limb after SAFETY TRIM
  • The Customer wanted this tree to be SAFE over the Pool House, so these 3 limbs needed to be Safety Trimmed
  • I was able to reduce this limb and still maintain a natural shape
  • The tree was elevated to around 10′ above the structure
  • Maintained shape and elevated 10′ above the structure
  • Side view
  • Here’s the finished product, The shape is Beautiful
  • Included bark and weak bark ridges
  • If they would of reduced some weight off the tips this wouldn’t of happened
  • Top: Included Bark’ Bottom: the little bit of wood that was holding that big limb to the tree
This is a Real World Example of what NOT to do to your trees, I was trimming the trees next door and couldn’t help but notice these trees were SEVERLY lion Tailed and very dangerous. The homeowners had NO IDEA their trees were RUINED and now More Dangerous, Please be Careful on WHO you let trim your trees, They may look clean and look like they were BEAUTIFULY trimmed, but this is UNEDUCATED or LAZY trimming and there is no REMEDY to fix these trees.

Here is a Link to More Information about Lion Tailed Trees

Young trees are pruned to encourage proper development and natural form and to create a well- spaced, sturdy set of scaffold branches. These branches are the basis for a strong and well-structured crown. Older trees are pruned to maintain their natural form and vigor; dead, dying, diseased, rubbing/crossing, and broken branches are removed.
